Inclusion or adoption of some term or condition as part of a contract

Indemnity
This is a promise by a third party to pay a debt owed, or repay a loss caused, by another party
Indenture
A deed or other document binding two or more parties
Indictment
A written statement of charges made against a defendant who is sent for trial to the Crown Court
Indirect Discrimination
This is where the effect of certain requirements, conditions or practices imposed by an employer has an adverse impact disproportionally on a certain group
Individual Voluntary Agreement
This is an arrangement between the debtor and their creditors to repay a percentage of the debt over the life of the IVA
Industrial Disease
A disease or illness developed as a result of working conditions.
Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
This is available to any employee who has been disabled as a result of an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment or as a result of an industrial disease due to the nature of that employment
Infant
A person under 18 years of age

This refers to an unauthorised use of intellectual property
Inheritance Tax (IHT)
This is a tax imposed on the privilege of receiving property by inheritance or legal succession

An order by a Court either preventing or requiring someone to carry out a certain action
