Our Work Experience Programme is now Closed
At Birkett Long we are committed to fostering the next generation of legal professionals by offering practical exposure to the services we provide as part through valuable work experience opportunities. You will gain hands on experience over your week with us, working with experienced lawyers, engaging with live cases.
We aim to inspire and educate our work experience students who are passionate about a career in law and help them deepen their understanding of how a full service, dynamic law firm operates.
Please note, the 2025 programme is now closed and won't be re-opened until 2026.
When does the Programme Run?
Our work experience programme runs between June and September across all our offices but as the programme is very popular, the places are limited.
What are the entry requirements?
To be considered for a place on the programme, you will need to be at least a 2nd year Law undergraduate.
Is the placement paid?
Our work experience placement is for one week and is unpaid.
What areas of Law do you offer placements in?
We offer placements in the below areas:
- Agriculture & Estates
- Business (including Education and Regulatory)
- Court of Protection and Inheritance Disputes
- Divorce and Family
- Dispute Resolution
- Employment
- Intellectual Property
- Private Client (Wills, Trusts, Tax & Administration of Estates)
- Real Estate – Commercial and Residential
