Samantha Randall
Associate Solicitor
Profile
I am part of the BLHR and Employment team , dealing with a wide range of employment law issues. I’m responsible for advising and assisting employers, employees and HR professionals. My aim is to identify achievable outcomes that are in my client's best interests, always weighing up the potential cost against the benefit.
I love the variety of employment work that my role brings and gain real satisfaction from being able to find solutions for clients. It’s important to find a balance between legal, commercial and practical advice, and for each client that process is bespoke because my advice is always based on their circumstances and their needs. Speed is often of the essence too, and I pride myself on providing clients with a same day response where possible.
I advise on a wide range of employment law issues for individuals and all sizes and types of business employers. My experience allows me to deal with contentious issues, such as tribunal litigation, workplace disputes and issues on termination of employment, as well as non-contentious matters such as preparation and review of contracts and policies, and advice relating to the negotiation of settlement agreements. Many clients simply need general HR support and advice in the ever-changing arena of employment law.
Clients tell me that I’m efficient and professional, yet approachable. I believe it’s important to give my clients advice that is clear and easy to understand. I’m a good listener and I never find it hard to empathise with clients. I suppose the best compliment is that my clients often refer their friends and family to me.
For me, travelling and exploring new places and restaurants is a great way to spend my time off. I also love going to the theatre and concerts, and have been known to challenge myself with the occasional mud run! But spending time with friends and family is my favourite way to relax.
