About the deal
Solicitors at Birkett Long have helped to complete a £14.7 million deal for the sale of part of a global electronics firm. e2v Technologies is a leading global provider of specialist technology for high performance systems and equipment. It delivers solutions, subsystems and components for specialist applications within medical and science, aerospace and defence, and commercial and industrial markets.
e2v Technologies called on the experts at Birkett Long for the sale of its noncore businesses to a newly formed company, SGX Sensortech, backed by Baird Capital Partners. The businesses were e2v Scientific Instruments based in High Wycombe, its industrial gas sensing business in Chelmsford and e2v microsensors SA in Neuchetel, Switzerland.
The businesses provide a range of professional sensing products for xray spectroscopy and gas sensing for automotive and environmental safety applications. What our client thought
“The support from the Birkett Long team has been vital to completing this complex deal.”
Ian Lambert, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at e2v Technologies
