Precious Yilmaz
Paralegal
Profile
I am a Paralegal in the Education Team and I am based at the Chelmsford office. In my role, I support the team’s solicitors and assist in managing client matters. I will be starting my training contract with Birkett Long in September 2025.
Clients choose to work with me because I ensure that I listen and understand their issues, concerns and desired outcomes. When advising clients, I aim to simplify complex legal concepts to help them understand their position and make informed decisions with confidence. I am approachable and friendly and committed to delivering high-quality legal services by ensuring that clients feel supported and well-informed throughout the process.
Before joining Birkett Long, I worked as a Legal Adviser at the Child Law Advice Service, part of Coram Children’s Legal Centre. I advised clients on family and education law, covering school admissions, exclusions, special educational needs, bullying, inadequate education provision, and attendance issues.
Outside work, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy discovering new places to eat (I’m a bit of a foodie), travelling, and visiting new places. Staying active is also important to me, and I regularly go to the gym to unwind after work.
In 2017, I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a second class honours (division one) (2:1) in law. In 2021, I completed the Legal Practice Course combined with a Master’s degree in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law, achieving a distinction.
