Lauren McCarthy
Trainee Solicitor
Profile
I am a Trainee Solicitor at Birkett Long, having commenced my Training Contract in September 2024.
Before commencing my Training Contract, I spent a year as a Paralegal in the Corporate and Commercial Team at Birkett Long. I then began my first seat as a Trainee Solicitor in the same team, where I gained invaluable experience in legal drafting, client communication, and supporting corporate transactions.
I am now looking forward to transitioning into Employment Law for my second seat. I have always had a keen interest in Employment Law, which I explored further in my LPC LLM dissertation on the distinction between “employees” and “workers” in Law. I am excited to build on this knowledge and engage with both transactional and contentious Employment matters.
I believe in keeping things clear and straightforward for clients. My approach focuses on building strong, trust-based relationships and offering practical legal advice tailored to their needs. I am committed to growing as a lawyer and providing the best possible service.
Outside of work, I enjoy musical theatre, having danced since the age of three. I have also performed on the West End in Billy Elliot the Musical. When I am not dancing, you will probably find me at the gym or enjoying spending time with my family.
