I seek to understand what our clients need and when. I am reliable and deliver what I promise. I feel I show great empathy towards our clients and business partners and I communicate very effectively at all levels.
I chose to work for Birkett Long because I wanted to be working for a progressive firm, full of very professional, talented, hard-working people and feeling that I make a valuable and varied contribution that is recognised and respected by my colleagues. I’d had enough of Plc and wanted to work in a business where I could use my skills and experience to good effect, and for me to feel valued in doing so.
I manage client and business partner relationships, internally and externally. Working very closely with the marketing team to ensure we create and implement appropriate initiatives to keep our brand relevant and vibrant. I am a Birkett Long IFA Board Member, and Birkett Long LLP Management Board Member.
My experience is in sales and sales management, predominantly in a Plc environment. I am very client focused and this helps me greatly in my role at Birkett Long, as I understand what its like to be the client.
I’m a big football and cricket fan and support the mighty Ipswich Town FC and Essex County Cricket Club respectively. I run regularly, cycling and gardening takes up a lot of my time too. Also, spending quality time with my family. I enjoy travelling and eating out (hence the running!). And if I have any spare time left after that, a good thriller and Pink Floyd, but not at the same time!
I am a Trustee of The Rob George Foundation, I’m on the Board of COLBAC (Colchester Business Against Crime) and a Colchester & East Essex Cricket Club Fundraising Committee Member.
