Lisa Collins

I wanted to be a lawyer from a young age and dedicated my studies at college and university to achieving this ambition. Family law was always an area I hoped to specialise in; it allows me to help those experiencing difficulties or trauma in their lives and in doing so it provides a sense of purpose. I love that no one day is ever the same.

I assist clients with a full range of issues involving divorce and family law. I specialise in ending a relationship, children and family law. I am the team leader of the South Essex Divorce and Family team and have responsibility for the supervision of the other lawyers in the team. 

I am recognised as a Next Generation Partner by The Legal 500, and I am an accredited member of the Law Society's Family Panel. This is an assessed accreditation scheme which recognises those with family law expertise and experience.

I am a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and family problems.

In my spare time I enjoy playing (or at least trying to play..!) golf. I also spend as much time as possible with my two godsons.

I have been involved in the local Law Society and was previously a Trustee of the YMCA in Colchester. I have set up and maintain excellent contacts with local mediators and Counsel as well as other solicitors. I am currently looking for opportunities to further develop my presence in the local area.
