Essex law firm Birkett Long is delighted to announce that solicitor Helena Oxley has been appointed to the Mercury Theatre Colchester’s board of trustees.

With a passion for supporting the arts and community, Helena’s appointment to the Board of Trustees will further strengthen Mercury Theatre’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

As an Employment Solicitor in Birkett Long’s Education team, Helena’s legal expertise will be invaluable in navigating the challenges the theatre industry faces.

Helena joins the Board of Trustees alongside a distinguished and diverse group of individuals, including Mark Hoult-Allen, Rodney Appleyard, Matt Brindley, Julia Stephen, and Peter Torres Fremlin.

Steve Mannix, Mercury Theatre’s Executive Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating, “Welcoming a new group of board members who can share their extensive professional and personal knowledge is so essential in these challenging times for the arts and theatre.”

Helena added, “Volunteering with the Mercury has given me the opportunity to meet some very interesting people, and I get to contribute to something that feels really worthwhile.”

Each board member brings a unique set of skills and experiences that will contribute to the continued growth of the Mercury Theatre.

We wish Helena and the new board every success.
