Employment update: New neonatal law changes

Watch our video below from our webinar held on 18 March 2025.

On 6 April, new legislation will come into effect in England, Scotland, and Wales, introducing neonatal care leave and pay for eligible employees. This legislation will support parents of babies who require neonatal care after birth, with three categories of medical care qualifying as neonatal care.

Our employment law experts, Julie Temple and Samantha Randall, along with trainee solicitor Lauren McCarthy, provided an overview of what the new legislation means for employers.

What you will learn:

  • How neonatal leave works and what it means for parents
  • Who is eligible
  • Preparing your business for these legal changes

Do not miss this opportunity to stay up to date and ensure your business is compliant.

Read our article on the new legislation here.
