Essex law firm Birkett Long is delighted to announce that solicitor Elliot Cousins has been appointed to the board of trustees at The OutHouse.

The OutHouse is a Colchester-based charity offering support services to the LGBTQ+ community across a number of areas in Essex. Its mission is to develop and promote a sustainable, fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people can achieve their full potential.

The OutHouse, from its home on East Hill in Colchester, provides crucial services such as one-to-one support and counselling, LGBTQ+ awareness training, and group sessions for young people, all of which play a vital role in our community.

Elliot, a solicitor in Birkett Long’s Dispute Resolution team, said about his new role, “With the recent appointment of its new CEO, Thomas Empson, the charity is undergoing a period of significant growth. I am excited to be part of the charity and look forward to working with the board as part of its development.”

We wish Elliot every success as a trustee for The Outhouse.
