The Role

Are you from a strong commercial litigation background and looking for your next challenge? Are you seeking the opportunity to lead a team within an innovative and forward thinking Legal 500 law Firm who pride themselves on their continued growth and recognising and rewarding colleagues? The Firm is seeking to appoint an accomplished and experienced 8+ year PQE Solicitor to lead and grow our highly regarded South Essex Dispute Resolution Team.

This is a unique opportunity for a 8+ year PQE Dispute Resolution Solicitor, who ideally has experience of developing and managing a team, to shape and drive our well established and highly regarded Dispute Resolution team in South Essex.  

The position is full-time, based in our Chelmsford office and there will be the opportunity for some working from home.

The Team

The Dispute Resolution team is highly driven with plans and the commitment from the Firm to continue to develop. The team has continuously been ranked in Tier 1 of the Legal 500 for more than 20 years. It currently consists of 12 lawyers split between two teams and covering the 3 offices.

The Dispute Resolution Team provides practical advice to companies, businesses and individuals on the best way of resolving a wide range of disputes including:-

  • Contractual claims and debt collection

  • Property disputes

  • Shareholder and corporate disputes

  • Professional negligence claims

  • Partnership disputes

  • Insolvency

  • Construction

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be a lawyer with proven experience in handling commercial dispute resolution work, together with experience of developing and leading a team.

You will have the ability to deliver succinct high-quality advice, excellent client and team communication skills, drafting and negotiation skills. You will possess excellent technical knowledge, have a proven track record of success and a desire to play a key role in the future development of the team. You will manage the team and lead its marketing and business development, with support from the members of the team and our dedicated business development and marketing team.
