Recruitment and selection training

The training covers the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion during the recruitment process, overviews the types of discrimination and how allegations might arise at such an early stage and the implications of getting it wrong.

The main focus of the session is looking at practical approaches to minimise the risks and the importance of focusing on needs of roles, carrying out shortlisting, interview techniques and selecting the successful candidate.

Examples are provided throughout and attendees are encouraged to get involved and discuss their own experiences.

This training can be tailored to any mix of attendee: managers, supervisors and team leaders; non-management or leader level or a mix.

What is involved?

  • 2 hours training
  • an interactive session, using discussion and examples to aid effective learning and retention
  • a choice of delivery - in person or virtually
  • this can be customised to your organisation’s policies and procedures
