For education professionals and parents, guardians, carers and young people with SEND requirements.
Where a child or young person has an Education Health Care plan, it must be reviewed at least once a year by the local authority (“LA”). This is to ensure it stays up-to-date and continues to provide the support the child or young person needs. At the end of the review, there are only three decisions the LA can make:
(a) To maintain the EHC plan in its current format (not make any changes);
(b) To amend the EHC plan;
(c) To cease the EHC plan if they think it is no longer necessary for it to be in place
This webinar answers common questions about annual reviews, including what paperwork you should have, what the time frames are and what should happen at the meeting. Our expert SEND law solicitors will also answer any questions you have in a Q&A session at the end of the webinar. Useful for schools and parents alike.
